Travel Information

University of Warsaw and Hotel Novotel can be easily reached by public means of transport from the Airport and from the Central Railway Station.

By bus: In order to travel from the Airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the venue we advise you to use bus no. 175

Bus starts in front of the Airport Arrivals Hall, and has its stops: at the Central Railway Station (bus stop: Dw. Centralny), next to the Hotel Novotel (bus stop: Novotel) and next to the Main Gate of the University of Warsaw Campus (bus stop: Uniwersytet).

From the Airport, you should take the bus, which has the name of destination: “PL. PIŁSUDSKIEGO” displayed on the windscreen. Bus departs every 10 min. from the bus stop in front of the Arrivals Hall.

From the Airport the journey takes approximately 30 minutes to the Hotel and 40 minutes to the UW.

From the Railway Station you may walk to the Hotel or travel one stop by buses no.: 175, 158, 517, 519; or by tram – any tram is possible.

You may also take bus no. 175 in order to get from the Novotel Hotel to the venue - University of Warsaw Main Campus. The journey should take no more than 10 minutes.

Standard ticket costs 2,80 PLN = 0,63 EURO

Bus tickets can be purchased at the Airport or Railway Station in one of many newsstands, which are commonly known as KIOSK.

Standard ticket allows you to travel on one bus as long as you need with any luggage you may have.

Taxi ride from the Airport to the hotel will take around 20 min. and about 25 min. to the University.

At the Airport in Arrivals Hall of the Terminal 1 you will find clearly marked taxi stands, where you will be served by English-speaking personnel who will order the taxi for you. You can also take one of the taxis waiting outside of the Arrivals Hall of the Terminal 2 – the first line is reserved for taxi companies only.

You will also easily find taxi outside of the Railway Station, provided it is clearly marked with the name of one of the following and recommended companies:

Under no circumstances should you take a cab marked as “TAKI”  or “Przewóz Osób”.

Approximate costs:

Usually the rate for 1 km is ca. 2 PLN (differs form 1.80 to 2.40) = 0,45 EURO.

From the airport to the Hotel Novotel: 40-50 PLN = 9-12 EURO

From the hotel to the venue: max. 10 PLN = 2,3 EURO
